Houston Eye Associates was launched in July of 2003 and is a tangible expression of Dr. Andrew Blankenship's dedication to superior visual and ocular health for adults and children in the Harris and Montgomery county areas.
The Houston Center is equipped with the latest and most effective vision care equipment and offers a comprehensive 'menu' of services for maintaining eye health. Patients may schedule routine eye exams and or appointments to seek relief from common problems such as red eyes and dry eyes. Houston Eye Associates is also a resource for consultations and evaluations for LASIK or Cataract Surgery.
Dr. Blankenship was born in Houston , Texas and was raised in Klein , Texas where he graduated from Klein High School . Dr. Blankenship earned his B.S. in Biology at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches , Texas . He spent an additional four years and graduated from the University Of Houston College Of Optometric Medicine . He received prestigious Clinical Letters of Excellence Awards in all of his clinical rotations. Dr. Blankenship completed his externship rotation at Berkeley Eye Center in Houston where he gained a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience in the areas of LASIK, Cataract Surgery, Glaucoma, and the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases.
In addition to his educational credentials, Dr. Blankenship's professional affiliations include American Optometric Association (AOA), the Texas Optometric Association, the Cornea and Contact Lens Section of the AOA, InfantSEE, and the Sports Vision Section of the AOA.
Dr. Blankenship's commitment to excellence and his desire to help others see the world in all its beauty are at the foundation of Houston Eye Associates.
Dr. Blankenship and his family reside in The Woodlands, Texas and are active members of Fellowship of The Woodlands Church. Dr. Blankenship enjoys outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, riding mountain bikes, and evening walks.
